Providence is a thriving restaurant on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles that was nominated as the best new restaurant in 2005 by the James Beard Society. It is the product of 6 months of design and 9 weeks of construction which focused on making the most of a modest budget. The objective was to create a subdued and elegant environment inspired by coastal living that complemented the cuisine consisting of premium wild seafood and shellfish in the purest and simplest form. Highlights included ceramic sculpture installation form Jennifer Pritchard, custom laser cut 3Form panel luminaires and complete remodelof the existing bar with backlit glass shelving and a white onyx bar. Design services included identity and signage development.
